NIH has established multiple national cryo-EM service centers to provide access to the technology and is supporting the development of cryo-EM training curricula to build a skilled workforce.
All three centers accept external proposals to use their resources. A key feature of these centers is that the access (including screening and training) is proposal-based and free of charge.
